KOLab is a creator discovery and influencer marketing platform built for Malaysia and Southeast Asia. It helps brands find creators more credibly and helps creators present their profiles, pricing, and platforms more clearly.

Creators, brands, agencies, and businesses can use KOLab. One login can manage both creator and brand roles on the same account.
QWhich markets does KOLab focus on?
KOLab is positioned primarily for Malaysia, with relevance across Southeast Asia. The product, copy, and discovery flow are designed around the way local brands and creators actually work.
QWhich platforms are supported?
KOLab currently supports TikTok, Instagram, RedNote, and Facebook in its profile and discovery positioning.
QWhy must my profile details be accurate?
Accurate profile information builds trust with potential collaborators. Brands use your details — follower counts, categories, location, languages — to filter and shortlist creators. Inaccurate data means you may be filtered out of relevant searches or matched with the wrong campaigns. It also affects recommendation quality and your leaderboard ranking.
Creators
4QHow do I start as a creator?
Register an account, complete your creator profile, connect your social accounts, and add pricing if relevant. This helps brands understand your niche, audience, and collaboration fit more quickly.
QCan I use the same email for creator and brand?
Yes. A single account can hold both creator and brand roles. If you start as one role, you can switch and set up the other role later without registering a second email.
QHow do I verify my social accounts?
Go to Dashboard > Social Accounts and click the verify button next to any connected account. Admin will review and approve your verification request. Verified accounts get a blue checkmark badge, which increases your credibility and visibility on the platform.
QDo brands pay creators through KOLab?
Currently, payment terms are agreed directly between the creator and the brand. Transacting off-platform is allowed, but KOLab is not responsible for disputes. An optional escrow payment system is planned — when available, brands can deposit payment through KOLab, which holds the funds until the collaboration is completed. Escrow collaborations will display a "Protected" badge for added trust.

3QHow do brands find creators on KOLab?
Use the Discover page to browse and filter creators by category, platform, follower count, location, and language. You can also check the Leaderboard for top-ranked creators, or post a campaign and let creators apply to you.
QCan I collaborate without posting a campaign?
Yes. Visit any creator's profile and click the "Start Collaborate" button. You can set the platform, content type, deliverables, requirements, and budget directly. This creates a collaboration in negotiating status without needing a public campaign.
QAre official campaigns real platform posts?
Official badges are tied to real admin-owned accounts. That means official campaigns and official private messages are based on real admin status, not a fake UI label.
Campaigns & Collaborations
4QHow do I apply to a campaign?
Browse the Campaign Board, find a campaign you like, and click "Apply" on the campaign detail page. You can write a pitch message and propose your price. The brand will review your application and can accept, shortlist, or decline it.
QWhat is the campaign application flow?
After you apply, your application status moves through these stages: Applied → Viewed (when the brand opens it) → Shortlisted (optional) → Accepted or Declined. You can withdraw a pending application at any time from your Applications dashboard.
QHow does the collaboration process work?
Once a brand accepts your application or starts a direct collaboration, the status progresses through: Negotiating → Agreed → In Progress → Completed. Either party can stop the collaboration with a reason. After completion, both sides can leave a review and rating.
QWhat happens when a campaign deadline passes?
When the deadline is reached, the campaign is automatically paused and stops accepting new applications. The same happens when the maximum application limit is reached. Existing applications are not affected.
Boosting & Visibility
5QHow do I purchase a boost?
Go to Dashboard > Boost, choose the product you want (Ranking Boost, Campaign Boost, or Extended Campaign Slots), pick a duration (3, 7, or 30 days), and complete payment via Razorpay. Your boost activates immediately after payment.
QWhat are the different boost products?
Ranking Boost gives your profile a "Featured" label and priority placement on the leaderboard and discover pages. Campaign Boost highlights your campaigns with a "Featured" badge. Extended Campaign Slots increases your active campaign limit from 1 to 6. You can also buy a bundle that includes all three.
QDo boosts renew automatically?
No. Boosts are one-time purchases for a fixed duration and do not renew automatically. You can purchase a new boost anytime after the current one expires.
QCan I get a refund after purchasing a boost?
No. All boost purchases are final and non-refundable. Make sure you choose the right product and duration before completing payment.
QWhat if my boost doesn't seem effective?
Boosts increase your visibility, but results also depend on your profile quality. Make sure your profile photo, bio, social accounts, pricing, and portfolio are complete and compelling. A complete profile with strong content will convert more views into collaborations.
Leaderboard & Rankings
3QHow does the leaderboard work?
The leaderboard ranks creators and brands based on real-time data. Creators can be sorted by followers, likes, reviews, collaborations, portfolio items, or pricing. Brands are ranked by active campaigns and collaborations. Rankings update automatically as data changes.
QWhat are the benefits of ranking high?
Higher-ranked creators get more visibility on the platform. Brands often browse the leaderboard to find top performers. A strong ranking also builds credibility — it shows you are active, have real engagement, and deliver results.
QHow do featured spots work on the leaderboard?
Creators and brands with an active Ranking Boost get a "Featured" label and appear in a dedicated featured section at the top of the leaderboard. Featured spots rotate among boosted users to ensure fair exposure.
Messaging
3QHow do I message someone on KOLab?
Visit the user's profile page and click the "Message" button. This opens a conversation in your Dashboard > Messages inbox. You can message any user on the platform — creator to creator, brand to brand, or cross-role.
QHow does the messaging system work?
Messages are real-time via the dashboard inbox. New messages appear at the top of your conversation list. You can scroll through your message history and continue any conversation. Notifications are sent for new messages based on your notification preferences.
QHow is response rate calculated?
Response rate is based on conversations where someone else messages you first. KOLab counts how many of those inbound conversations received at least one reply from you, then shows that as a percentage. Conversations you start yourself do not lower your response rate, and the metric updates when messages are sent.
Account & Settings
3QCan I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Dashboard > Settings and scroll to the account deletion section. This permanently removes your profile, data, and all associated content. This action cannot be undone.
QHow do privacy and notification settings work?
Go to Dashboard > Settings to manage your notification preferences (email, in-app, push) and privacy controls (profile visibility, data sharing). Changes take effect immediately.
